Amendments." (In reviewing the institution's compliance with these program responsibilities, the Commission relies
on documentation forwarded to it by the Secretary of Education.)

Narrative
Nicholls State University is in compliance with its program responsibilities under Title IV of the "Higher Education Amendments of
1998."
The policies, procedures, and guidelines administered by the Office of Financial Aid
[1] are subject to audits to ensure that they
satisfy the audit and review standards established by the U.S. Department of Education and the State of Louisiana. The State of
Louisiana's "Single Audit Reports" for 2003
[2] and 2004
[3] include a detailed review of Nicholls' financial aid programs and Title
IV program administration. This annual audit meets the requirements prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, in accordance
with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Audit Criteria A-133
[4].
The University is in good standing in accordance with the Program Participation Agreement (PPA) signed with the U.S. Department
of Education. Reauthorization was completed in 2001, and the institution's PPA is effective until 2007
[5].
