The institution awards academic credit for course work taken on a noncredit basis only when there is documentation that the noncredit course work is equivalent to a designated credit experience.

Narrative
Nicholls State University does not award academic credit for course work taken on a noncredit basis. However,
Nicholls does administer credit examinations to students who claim special competence gained through
practical experience, extensive training, or completion of courses in non-accredited institutions
[1].
In addition, students may earn up to eight hours of health and physical education credit for military
service, given the physical requirements of the military
[2].
